Welcome to The Caring Advocate
At The Caring Advocate, we are dedicated to empowering individuals and supporting families in San Diego.
The CFS program was designed for adults that have intellectual/developmental disabilities that wish to reside with their families, and don’t want to live on their own. This program is an additional support for families and individuals that may need assistance and guidance with finding doctors, therapists, scheduling appointments, navigating and applying to government programs (Medi-Cal, Cal-Fresh, etc.), staying organized, and much more!

Coordinated Family Support Services: What is CFS?
CFS is a new service specifically designed for adults with developmental disabilities who choose to live with their family. We create tailored, individualized guidance for adults who are served by the regional center.
Disability Empowerment & Training
CFS can coordinate training for the people who support you so that they are better prepared to work with you and your family. CFS can help you identify transportation, back-up providers, and help you learn about self-advocacy groups in your area. CFS will be provided in your language and in a way that is respectful of your culture.
Who is Eligible?
CFS is for adults (18 years and older) who live with their family.
